Tim Sutherland, CCO
President
Tim Sutherland is a Certified Court Officer in the Tri-County area and has been a Court Officer for about 20 years.
Tim has a degree in Business Administration and was a computer professional for many years before becoming a Court Officer in 1990.
Tim has been a member of MCODSA since 1992 and has served as Secretary/Treasurer for 7 years and as a Director for 8 years.
Tim and his wife Donna reside in Macomb Twp with their son and daughter, who are currently both away at college.

Garry Flanary, CCO
Vice President
Garry Flanary joined the MCODSA in 1999 and was elected to Secretary - Treasurer in November of 2002.
Garry is a court officer in the 53rd, 66th and 71A District Courts. He passed the MCODSA Certification Exam in April of 2002 and is a Certified Court Officer.
Garry is also a 2003 graduate of the Western Wayne Regional Police Training Academy and has completed criminal justice and liberal arts classes at Lansing Community College, Michigan State University and is currently enrolled in the Mountain State University Criminal Justice Administration undergraduate program.
Garry has completed instructor development training with the National Rifle Association Law Enforcement Activities Division and is certified to instruct law enforcement and civilians in both and handgun and shotgun disciplines. Garry also provides instruction on Methamphetamine Clandestine Laboratories and the remnants left by labs, as well as attending update training from the MSP and DEA for the same. Recently, Garry, has been attending FBI and Homeland Security training for Anti-Terrorism.
Garry works closely with the law enforcement community in Livingston County and is currently assisting the Unadilla Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Fraud, Identity-Theft and Scam Team in Livingston County. (517) 545-9999

Patrick Dotson, CCO
Treasurer
Pat Dotson of Charlotte Michigan is a Certified Court Officer and is a District Court Officer, Circuit Court Officer and a Deputy Sheriff in Mid Michigan. He served 27 years with the Eaton County Sheriff Department before retiring in 1995.
Pat has been a member of MCODSA since 2004 and is currently serving on the Board of Directors as its Treasurer. (517) 543-7814

Rick Risk, CCO
Immediate Past President
Rick Risk is a Certified Court Officer and is appointed in several mid-Michigan courts.
He is a graduate of the Lansing Community College Law Enforcement Associate Degree program, and is a retired Police Officer and Corrections Specialist.
A member of the Michigan Court Officer, Deputy Sheriff and Process Servers Association since 1996, he served on the Board of Directors for 6 years, and he served two terms as President.
Dedicated to promoting professionalism within the process serving industry, Rick has set his goal towards the mandate of a state-wide certification and regulation program for all Court Officers and Process Servers.

Jeff Kirkpatrick, CCO
Director - Past President
Jeff Kirkpatrick, of Jackson, Michigan is a long time member of MCODSA and is a Certified Court Officer. He has been a court officer for the past 13 years. He is the past Pesident of the Michigan Court Officers, Deputy Sheriffs and Process Servers Association and he is currently serving as a member of its Board of Directors.
Additionally, Jeff serves as MCODSA's legislative chairman, he is the chairman of the bylaws committee, and is responsible for the association website. He served on an adhoc committee appointed by the Supreme Court to create regulations for governing the conduct of Michigan Court Officers.
He is the Vice President of Universal Fire & Casualty Insurance Company. Jeff was a member of a special commission that was impaneled to recommend and implement procedural safeguards designed to enhance public safety during the fugitive apprehension process. He has taught various seminars on Skiptracing. He holds a Fidelity and Surety Insurance License from the State of
Michigan.
Jeff obtained certification as an Electronics Technician from the Federal Communications Commission and is licensed as an Amateur Radio Operator and a certified locksmith. He is the past President of the Jackson Community Federal Credit Union and currently serves as a Director. (517) 788-8898

Myrna Brenner, CPS
Director
Myrna Brenner along with her husband, retired deputy Ray Brenner, operate Myrna VanBelzen Civil Process Service. Myrna served process for approximately the past 20 years for the 78th District Court and the 27th Circuit Court. She is a court officer and is a certified process server. She also works for the Newaygo County Treasurer's office and does volunteer work for Newaygo County Community Service as home retention counselors.
Myrna is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Ben Bradford #135 Lodge and has served on their board for several terms. She has been a candidate to the state convention several times. She also serves as board president for the Sitka United Methodist Church, a position she has held for numerous years. Myrna has worked in various medical and dental offices, taught piano lessons and was a librarian with the Newaygo Carnegie Library.
She has three grown children, ten grandchildren and has raised more than twenty foster children over the years.
