Program Overview
MCODSA invites you and your staff to attend our Annual Spring Training Seminar. We believe that training is essential to maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism in our field.
The Association has held Training Seminars throughout Michigan since 1979. This year’s seminar will be at the Detroit Marriott Southfield located in Southfield, MI. For those of you wishing to become Certified through MCODSA,three Certification Exams will be available following the workshop on Thursday, April 11th. The Certified Process Server (CPS) exam tests your knowledge on the laws and procedures necessary to possess a solid foundation of knowledge for serving general civil process. The Certified Eviction Specialist (CES) demonstrates your knowledge of the law and procedures necessary to serve general civil process and orders of eviction. The CES is designed for those court officers and deputies who serve evictions and do not do other types of property seizures. The Certified Court Officer (CCO) exam demonstrates your knowledge of the laws and procedures necessary to serve general civil process, orders of eviction, and the seizure of personal and real property. Exams will be administered and collected after the Workshop for any that would like to become certified. Certification exams will be administered immediately following the conclusion of our seminar on Friday - roughly 4:00pm. Register before April 3, 2024 for $25 off the regular registration fee!Please Note: In the event you are unable to attend the seminar after registering, you must contact us at least 3 days prior to the event to be eligible for a refund. All seminar attendees are subject to the MCODSA Code of Conduct. |
